KPK public service commission has announced screening test
for the candidates who have applied to appear in the upcoming competitive exam
for the provincial management services. The screening test aims at dropping out
the less serious candidates and short listing competitive candidates for the
written examination. The screening test is a good gesture on the part of the
public services commissions for the competitive candidates as the later will
their papers properly checked and dully awarded, the examiner will have more
time to ferret out the cream candidates and properly evaluate their ideas.
How to prepare for the test?
Candidates must keep in mind that the test is based on
objective questions. All the questions must be form the compulsory subjects.
Candidates who are going to prepare themselves, must keep focus on the
compulsory subjects only. The major areas of the test will be as under:
ENGLISH.
The English part will include fundamentals of grammar,
choosing correct sentences, make a correct choice among in narration, voices
etc. the section will also include on some vocabulary items to which either
synonyms or antonyms will be supplied. Applied grammar will also be tested,
such as to chose a correct clause from among the options to complete the sentence.
PAKISTAN AFFAIRS.
Questions relating to important dates, personalities
and events both in the colonial and post colonial eras will be asked. A
short review of the political history, constitutional development of
Pakistan, and the current occurrences in the political landscape of Pakistan
will be given weight age.
CURRENT AFFAIRS.
Objectives questions relating to the important dates,
personalities and events in the areas and regions of the world which have been
in the global limelight will be focused, such as Afghanistan, Kashmir, Middle
East etc.
ISLAMIC STUDIES
The life of the holy prophet, the companions, the battles and
other noted achievements of Islamic
history will especially be focused. The
pre-migration and the post-migration era of the holy prophet and the revelation
of the holy Quran and the events and dates pertaining thereto must be focused
by the candidates.
